Now it’s my turn now to highlight the Chinese teas that have most caught my attention  during my buying this year.

Taiping Hou Kui

A lifelong favourite! Not only is it a tea of wonderful delicacy and complexity, but the garden location is a hidden paradise and the producer, the very authentic Mr. Ye has become a great friend over the years. While Taiping Hou Kui has been a favorite since 2007, the 2015 harvest is one of the best in years!

Jingxian Jin Jun Mei

I met Mr. Wang last year for his fancy wulongs. On this first meeting I had no plans to buy a black tea. But as soon as I tasted the quality and aromatic complexity of this tea I was seduced. This tea of fine tips for is a highlight in this year’s Chinese black tea lineup!

Wei Shan Mao Jian Organic.

Though I really enjoy delicate teas like Taiping Hou Kui, I am a great lover of the Mao Jian style from Wei Shan mountain. This beautiful organic tea is one of my everyday favorites for its fresh herbal notes and invigoration.
