A long time coming

Creating a 100% pure and authentic maple tea was an interesting challenge. The goal was clear: to find a perfect balance between the taste of black tea with the rich flavour and subtle sweetness of maple syrup. We had been toying with the idea of this tea for a few years but had never managed to achieve the results we wanted. The main reason was our insistence on a 100% natural tea without any of the artificial flavours that are usually used in Maple Teas.

Finding the perfect balance

A black tea base seemed to be the natural way to go.  We did try a green tea during our testing, out of sheer curiosity, but it was not as good as the black tea base. The next step was to find the black tea that best paired with the rich flavours and aromas of maple. After extensive research, we landed on the Indian black tea, from our own tea factory, the Tea Studio. Its classically structured taste is malty yet sweet and perfectly complements the maple without overpowering it.

So, we are very proud to present the Maple Tea Studio blend which is comprised of 50% Nilgiri Coonoor black tea from India and 50% maple sugar crystals sourced from the maple forest of St-Ferdinand in Quebec.

An original and unique tea

Blended at our Montreal warehouse this unique, high quality maple tea is available all year-round.  It can be enjoyed straight or topped with foamed milk.  Add a few maple sugar crystals on top if you’re feeling fancy. A rare delight!
