Our History ...
Our story is a little unusual. It all began over 10 years ago with four young men with a shared a passion for tea, tasting and travel.
They began exploring the lost corners of Asia every year in search of the finest leaf and a deeper understanding of the soils, peoples and practices that create them.
Their aim was, and continues to be, to bring the worlds finest teas as directly as possible from the tea gardens to the tea lovers of the rest of the world.
After years of following rough trails to distant mountains and valleys sometimes with little more than a rumour or legend as a guide, the quality of their catalogue began to gain an international reputation.
The quest continues for the exceptional, the perfect example of a style, a rare cultivar or a garden signature. But such efforts would all be in vain without the reward of sharing these treasures with our enthusiastic staff and passionate clientele.
