| Regional variations, the Grand Masters of Chanoyu, sencha-do infusions, explanation of the tea-ceremony and the preparation of matcha. Japan is one of the only countries to have raised the preparation of tea to a ceremony and lifestyle. In the first half of this workshop you will learn about the basic infusion techniques of Japanese leaf tea and taste various styles and qualities. The second half focuses on matcha, the famous powdered tea used for Chanoyu the Japanese tea ceremony. To create an intimate atmosphere, conducive to discovering the intricacies of tasting, groups are kept to 9 people. Workshops include general information, demonstrations of preparation techniques and comparative tasting.
