The planting of India and Sri Lanka, chai, production techniques of black tea with a special focus on the Darjeeling tea industry. Comparative tasting of teas from the areas discussed.

Darjeeling has the well-earned reputation of being the "Champagne of black teas". This workshop discusses the classic black teas of India and Sri Lanka and the history of how this fascinating region developed. Followed by a full comparative tasting of 10 black teas from the region and finishing off with an authentic Indian chai.

To create an intimate atmosphere, conducive to discovering the intricacies of tasting, groups are kept to 10 people. Workshops include general information, demonstrations of preparation techniques and comparative tasting.
