Assam Mokalbari
OR-310
This black Indian tea from the vast plains of Assam has been transformed using the ‘orthodox’ technique, used only for specific grades, to preserve the integrity of the leaves. This style is known as 'Tippy Assam’. This batch, made from the blend of the 2 cultivars: N436 and the famous P126, is sure to seduce any lover of black tea.
Rich with golden buds, the leaves release an impressive red into the liquor on infusion. The richness transfers to the mouth in a composition of malty and woodsy flavours, held together in a rich structure of tannins with a bright camphor note.
A powerful and well-structured tea.
