Ariane Boudreault-Lambert - Quebec (Qc)
Ariane was working in a café when a colleague suggested that she sign up for courses in ceramics. She had never touched clay or even dreamed of ceramics before that!
Natural talent and flair were rewarded and since graduation in 2014, Ariane has not been idle. Sharing her time between coordinating a ceramics event, her own artistic production and teaching ceramics students everything from turning to arranging contracts, she is always busy. She is also in high demand as an artist. Her work is attractive and creative with references to the structure and materials used to create it.
One of those stories we love of an artisan creating work that is an exciting blend of chance, intuition and confidence!
It seems that a tea lover is at the origin of this Quebec cup for which we find nothing to dislike; the size, the grip, the glazed interior for more versatility, yet the raw and skillfully decorated exterior... everything is flawless!
This round cup is the creation of Quebec ceramist Ariane Boudreault-Lambert and is named after the drawing technique that characterises its design: Mishima
