The ceramist Catherine Valois presents us with this delicate micro-series she calls Brume (Fog).
Cup from CAVAL | LichenQuebec Ceramist Collection
From light grey to khaki, from taupe to pure white, the shades of colour blend harmoniously in the creations of Quebec ceramist Catherine Valois.
In the bottom of the cup, the carefully carved lichen is a personal offering to each cup of tea.
This part of the creation is highly skilled as the clay is very delicate at this stage, the meticulous nature of this artist’s work has become one of her trademarks.
Each cup is uniquely crafted, with colours and capacity which vary from one to another. Beautiful artisanal work.
