Cup from Makiko | Poppy

Product code: CSAC-901
Add to my notebook
270 ml
Much like abstract art, Makiko's spotting and clouding glazes evoke as many things as there are people to look at it. Landscapes, sweets, burning balloons... feel free to gaze all you want.

The artisanal aspect of these mugs makes them all unique. This why the colour gradients and volume may vary from one to another. Evidence of a work made by hand!

To learn more about the approach of the artist, see the article devoted to it in our tea tasters blog.

Cup by Julie Lavoie | Tenmoku

It was in a teahouse in Japan that the potter Julie Lavoie discovered Tenmoku. On seeing the works of Kamada Koji for the first time, she was inspired by the 'starry skies' effect, unique to this glaze. Like a premonition, this idea of meteors had already appeared in her work before this journey.
