Darjeeling Second Flush Selimbong
Lot DJ-53
This black tea, from Darjeeling’s summer harvest, comes from a favourite garden in the foothills of the Himalaya. The Mohan family have been producing tea for 3 generations. The couple currently in charge of regional operations have retained the family ethos of protecting the well-being of the workers and their community with dynamic socio-economic planning. They integrate new methods that encourage passion for the quality of the work, competence and know-how.
The dry leaves reveal generous aromas of zest and wood. The rose/amber liquor, crisp and full, is well supported by a light base of tannins. Flavours develop from sweet (maple syrup) into citrus (mandarine), woodsy and floral notes.
A perfect coming together of force and delicateness.
