At the venerable age of 80, Japanese ceramist Gyokko is still an active artist whose energy do not seem to fade. He manages to keep in artistic vision: offering teapots that are both affordable, artisanal and complex.

Supported by his son and a few other artisans under his guidance, Gyokko specializes in affordable teapots: "My objective is to work together as a team in order to offer handmade teapots to everyone. I really believe that Japanese tea offers its full potential in this type of teapot."

Made with local clay from the coastal town of Tokoname, the teapot is not glazed thus the interior is slightly porous. We love the result: as authentic as the craftsman that created it.

Diameter of the opening: 5 cm

Kamairicha Organic

From an organic culture on Kyushu Island, this tea is produced by pan-fried method (kamairi), instead of the conventional Japanese method of steaming. This type of transformation gives a particular balance between bitterness and sweetness. The liquor has a pleasant nutty aroma and a flavor similar to chestnuts with a slightly sweet and citrusy after taste. Great combination of smoothness and intensity.

Not only do they make elegant serving trays, bamboo tea boats also collect water during your tea preparation and service.

Kukicha Organic

Enjoyable Japanese green tea made with a mixture of twigs and leaves of Sencha. Its yellow-green liquor smoothly deploys its rich texture along with scents of fresh herbs and nut butter. Its tangy finish is also evocative of  exotic fruits. Note for Sushi lovers; this tea is a perfect compliment.
