Japanese potter Hokuryu is a prodigious young talent practising his art with the venerable Mr Gyokko in Tokoname. Their guiding principle: to offer artisanal, hand-made teapots that combine a refined aesthetic with accessibility, enabling the full potential of a tea to be experienced.
Made from local clay, the teapot is not glazed, so its walls are slightly porous. The integrated filter is also made from terracotta, adding to the beauty of the piece. Refined, subtle and authentic.
