François Marchand

François Marchand

However much he may have wanted to be born under the warm sun of the Fiji Islands, François was born in a field in the village of St-Hermas and grew up in the city of Lachute ... Thatt is not fiction. His mother, an artist-painter and his father, an agent of the Department of Agriculture at Mirabel airport, are probably the triggers for his love of graphic arts and travel.

Following studies in literature and drama (which naturally lead to a career as a taster, marketing manager and IT technician), he began working at the Emery Street tea salon in the first months of opening, an era where percussion jams and without doubt a few drinks punctuated the evenings, while the salon was closed. He became friends with Hugo and Jasmin and later with Kevin. It was a trip to Indonesia that consolidated his desire to explore the world and to partener with Jasmin and Hugo in the Camellia Sinensis adventure. Never mind the roles depicted in television series or roles of the young family man in supermarket commercials!

Over the years, naturally, he became responsible for everything related to corporate design, as well as the website experience. Since 2006, he has travelled every spring in the central provinces of China and is a great fan of quality green tea. The art of pottery is also one of his areas of interest. You could say he learned to love China over the years through challenging, though always enriching, experiences.

He is also a big fan of food, wine and cocktails. He is also a lover of sport and has even postponed an appointment with a producer to see a Canadiens / Capitals playoff game one morning in China. But that is not talked about.
