Hugo Américi

The whole story of 'Hugo and Camellia Sinensis' would make a great book! Quite simply he is the the founder of Camellia Sinensis. Growing up in St-Paul l’Hermite he never imagined that one day he would be founding a tea house but at 17 years old his desire to start a business began to brew. Then 7 years later, following a trip to the Czech Republic, things started to fall into place. In Prague he discovered the Dobra Cajovna tea house and also a new found appreciation for tea, far removed from the 'cookies with granny’ of his youth.
Thus the story of Camellia Sinensis begins. Over time came the addition of Jasmin, François and Kevin, along with a long line of faithful 'Camellians' this little Teahouse was created. Today it shares the spotlight with the other great teahouses of the world.
Hugo is everywhere, he maintains and monitors the pulse of the company. Often referred to as the GM, he sees more himself as a DJ (that's another story for another day). Hugo reminds us all regularly that though we could easily take all the credit for making this tea house come to life, without our loyal and adoring clientele, we probably would have simply drank all our inventory. So thank you all for being a part of this adventure but Hugo says....'You ain't seen nothing yet!'
