Pu Er Sheng 1993 Menghai

Product code: CSTVI-283

Originating from the Menghai factory in south-west China's Yunnan province, this Pu er tea has been maturing naturally in Hong Kong for over 30 years. Initially compressed and now in pieces, it is considered one of the precious vintage teas of the 90s. It offers a rare experience for the most seasoned tasters.

The dry leaves give off a woody cedar fragrance with hints of dried chilli. The dark red infusion reveals a dense, round and enveloping texture, characteristic of a mature and fulfilled tea. There are fruity flavours reminiscent of dried cranberry and a delicate hint of sweet vanilla. The finish reveals varied notes of tobacco, damp rock, cereals and nuts.

A well-balanced, soothing tea that offers deep comfort.
