Xia Guan Tea Factory has long established itself as a leader in Pu Er markets all over China. Known to produce excellent shou Pu Er tea since the style began in the ‘70s, they have been leading the market with strong exports to Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Tibet. Their teas are highly sought after by collectors.

This particular production of shou Pu Er has been kept in a Hong Kong warehouse for over 20 years before arriving in our cups. Aged in loose leaves rather than pressed cakes, its aromas are cleansed by the lightness of well aired storage. Earthy and warm just as we like them, it reveals so much more aromatic complexity than we normally expect from shou Pu Er teas. Balanced and soft, a steeping session can easily last many hours.
