Labrador Tea, or Greenland Ledon, is not related to the tea plant, but its therapeutic virtues are sought after, just like those of Camellia Sinensis. This wild harvest comes from areas of the wetlands of Lac St-Jean where the plant is exposed to the warm rays of the sun.
Produced by Lahu people from Xishuangbanna, one of the ethnic groups in Yunnan, China, this aged tea is made from leaves of 1000 year old wild trees and has now passed the 20-year-ageing stage. It stands out for its powerful taste and its effect on the body.

Years of aging and repeated firing by artisan producer Mr. Huang have darkened the leaves of this Chinese Wulong from the Phoenix Mountains (Feng Huang). The translation, "honeyed orchid scent", is all there in the cup. The aromas are deepened by the delicate process of roasting the tea to renew and slightly transform the flavours over the years.
Cultivated on the foothills of the Phoenix (Feng Huang) mountain range in China's Guangdong province, following the ancestral knowledge of the Wulong Dan Cong culture, the leaves of this 200 year old tea tree transport us into an unparalleled taste experience. We are privileged to have access to Mr. Huang's accomplished work in the fascinating art of processing tea from a single tree.
Rolled into thin twists, true to the style of Guangdong in China, this wulong has, however, been roasted only once (rather than twice) preserving its greenness and its distinctly floral aromatic bouquet.
