Sencha Saeakari

Originally developed in the 1990s, this Japanese green tea cultivar is a cross between Saemidori and Z1. This type of tea plant is particularly resistant to cold temperatures and produces tender leaves that are easier to roll into pretty needles. This small batch was grown in Kagoshima prefecture in the Kirishima region.
Saeakari means "clarity and brilliance", and the beautiful pale green colour of the liqueur is a perfect reflection of this. Full-bodied and silky, it offers fine notes of fresh herbs and cooked baby spinach alongside a subtle floral freshness reminiscent of spring flowers (lily of the valley).
Delicately fragrant.
