Harvested by hand and skilfully transformed, this Sencha green tea comes from M. Sakai’s gardens in Tenryu (western Shizuoka). Vast and picturesque, the region is home to many passionate growers and has a reputation for producing very high quality teas.
First tasting impression is the blast of exotic fruits from the dry leaves. Vibrant scents of pineapple and passion fruit quickly fill the air. In the cup, sweet fragrances of sesame oil and nori (sushi seaweed) take over. Thick and smooth, the liquor presents very little astringency. It drinks like a charm, leaving behind a long after-taste that will keep you coming back for more.
