Celebrating their 20th year Camellia Sinensis have created the Tea Studio with an international group of partners, an experimental tea factory in Nilgiri India focussed on the artisanal creation of new teas. This Bai Mu Dan style white tea is composed of beautifully dried large leaves in hues of yellow and soft green. The liquor, smooth and silky, gives frank aromas of herbs, fruits and flowers. Its zesty finish is most refreshing.

Nepal autumnal Jun Chiyabari Organic

From magnificent gardens, only a short distance from Darjeeling, the delicate leaves and golden buds of this fall lot have been transformed with care and expertise. The resulting liquor is sweet and light, displaying its rich floral perfumes, honey and subtle fruity (apple) and chocolate accents. Simply exquisite!

Darjeeling Autumnal Jungpana organic

Amateurs of classic Darjeeling teas will be pleased of this rich and balanced autumnal lot from Jungpana Tea Estate. These graceful leaves show sustained oxidation and give a coppery, well-structured infusion. Woody and fruity aromas (zest, raisins) later develop hints of spices, leather and roasted nuts on the palate. A must-add to your morning routine!

Darjeeling Avongrove organic

This white tea is the result of a unique combination of a harvest from assamica tea plants from Darjeeling, and the expertise of Mr Subba, manager of the garden. Silky buds offer a heady brew with fragrances of flowers and cocoa. Its brilliant light yellow liquid, finely tart, enhances its grassy character (dry straw, sorrel) with generous fruity notes. Subtle notes of malt and hazelnut support the finish of this substantial and complex tea. a Totally smooth experience!

Da Hong Pao Mr Wu

Legendary wulong from the Wuyi mountains of Fujian, it is the most famous of the "rock teas", as they are called. Delicately twisted whole leaves are lightly roasted for a rich full liquor. Its woody aromatic character is expertly enhanced by rich notes of pecans, cocoa and fruits (gooseberry). The experience is deep, leaving a long after-impression in the mouth, delicately tart and sweet - reminiscent of caramel. 

Rou Gui Ma Tou Mr Liu

The Ma Tou (“horse head”) section in Wuyi National Park is known to produce some of the best Rou Gui in the World. This type of Wulong, harvested near the strange rock formation, is amongst the most sought after in China.

Bai Hao Jingmai Organic

Following the aesthetic of a Bai Hao with the cultivar (qingshin), a favourite of the Taiwanese, this "Oriental Beauty" comes to us from plantations located on the flanks of the Jingmai mountain in Yunnan (China). Its long leaves with hues of ochre and khaki reveal, upon immersion in water, rich fragrances of bark and cooked pears. Its attractive amber liquor boasts sweet and tart flavors evoking citrus zest. The finish lightly cradles the palate with its nuances of sweet spices (cinnamon) and heady flowers.

Pu Er Sheng 2000 Menghai

Impressive big leaves make up this Pu Er from the late 20th century. Intoxicating mossy fragrances (lichen) blend with the comforting aromas of root vegetables (potatoes, carrots) and dried bamboo. Its bright liquor affirms dynamism in a strong initial mouthfeel with tangy, sweet, mineral sensations. Its aromatic bouquet is rich with a refreshing after taste felt long in the breath. A thoroughly enjoyable vibrant tea!

Bancha Shizuoka

A flat-leaf Japanese green tea from the region of Shizuoka. Contains very little caffeine. Gives a sweet liquor with very little astrincency. A perfect introduction to Japanese tea.

Genmaicha with Matcha & Sencha Organic

A delicate combination of Sencha and Matcha (powder tea)with grilled rice. A gentle balance of grassy japanese tea and the natural sweetness of rice.
