Liu Bao Shi Shan Gu Shu 2016 (théiers de 100 ans)

This beautiful addition to our list of aged teas will please all lovers of rustic and traditional teas. Its large autumn leaves, picked a year after budding, come from ancient trees perched on the slopes of Shi Shan Mountain. Its liquor has a smooth and sweet texture enhanced by notes of camphor, ripe fruit and tobacco. Accents of spices and firewood, typical of ancient cultures, support a light and generous finish.

Liu Bao Ye Sheng Gu Shu 2002

This tea, a little over 15 years old, was produced according to a historical heritage dating back nearly 1,500 years. Compressed in large baskets of bamboo (sometimes up to 50 kg) it consists of a mixture of leaves and stems blackened by moisture and time. Its sweet and earthy liquor is embellished with rooting aromas of spices (anise) and burnt wood. It also ranks in the family of Liu Bao Binlang Xiang (betel fragrance) because of the character naturally developed by its artisanal production. The finish is surprisingly fresh and sweet.

Long Jing Shi Feng

Praised for the beauty of its steeping leaves and the fresh chestnut scents they give off, Long Jing is the most famous green tea in China. Harvested in Shi Feng (original terroir), Zhejiang, this small production (20kg) is masterfully created by the Tang family, with whom we have been working since 2003. Complex aromas and smooth liquor, this grand cru combines aromatic richness and finely balanced flavors.

Lu An Gua Pian

This green tea from Anhui is one of China’s ten most famous teas. Its reputation comes from a very specific plucking, where only mature leaves are taken from the trees and the buds left in place. Heated in steel woks and flattened with bamboo brushes, the leaves take on a bluish tint that really highlights this great style.

Madame la Marquise

A Chinese wulong blended with dried apricot pieces, a favorite among lovers of creamy, exotic, thirst-quenching beverages. Makes as excellent an iced tea as it does a hot tea.

Matcha Uji

A delicious matcha with an excellent quality / price ratio brought to us by the Osafumi brothers, second generation producers. This matcha comes from the mythical region of Uji, near Kyoto (the former capital of Japan), and more precisely from Ujitawara, hometown of Nagatani Soen, inventor of the sencha tea style. Its powerful and tasty emulsion offers a velvety texture and a slightly bitter-sweet flavor, with notes of oily grass and snow peas. A touch of gentle iodine tickles the palate, overshadowing everything.

Mi Lan Xiang Feng xi

The roasted black wulongs, which include this tea, are renowned for their exhilarating aromatic complexity. This one is called "scent of honeyed orchid", and the infusion of its long twisted leaves deploys rich aromas of flowers and exotic fruits (litchi). Its bittersweet liquor is round, textured by woody and malty notes. Its finish is profoundly zesty.
