Assam Banaspaty Organic & Fairtrade

From the vast plains of Assam, the Banaspaty garden offers us this tea with uniform and slightly broken leaves. Its liquor is straightforward and full-bodied with aromas typical of tobacco, malt and fruit (plum). With or without a cloud of milk! A comforting tea for mornings or dessert.

Kabusecha Takamado

Grown and processed in the region of Uji in Japan, this "shade-tea" is of great finesse. Shade structures which block up to 70% of the light are placed over the tea plants two weeks before harvest in order to soften the leaves and increase the chlorophyll concentration.

Sencha Tsukigase Organic

This Sencha, crafted by one of our favorite producers in Nara, is composed of a diverse mix of leaves and yellowish stems.

Woojeon Jeju Organic

Another rare gem in the exotic tea department, this organic green tea produced off the Korean peninsula, on the island of Jeju, has made its way through our selection and has already established itself as one of our best value for money.

Bancha Shizuoka

A flat-leaf Japanese green tea from the region of Shizuoka. Contains very little caffeine. Gives a sweet liquor with very little astrincency. A perfect introduction to Japanese tea.

Gyokuro Okabe

Here is a "Precious Dew"  from the Shizuoka region produced from the Samidori cultivar, often used to make Gyokuro and Matcha.

Yakushima Organic

Japan is not well known for its black teas. It took us five years of research (and tastings) to find a decent representative of this unusual tea style with a true sense of identity. Something both unique and resolutely Japanese in style, adding a new element to our catalogue Smooth, aromatic and bursting with warm flavours, our Yakushima organic rides a fine line between bold and refined.

Sun Moon Lake T-18

Here is a rare black tea from Taiwan, made using the well known T-18 cultivar which is derived from a cross between a large leafed tea from Burma (Ashamu) and a wild tea tree from southern Taiwan. Infused, its graceful leaves emanate smooth aromas of wintergreen, malt and tobacco. Lightly mentholated and generously fruity with notes of prune and raisin, its liquor is round, full and silky. A perfect tea for those special mornings.

Sencha Koshun Organic

This Sencha from Shizuoka region comes from a rare cultivar called Koshun and is known for its intense floral bouquet.

Lu An Gua Pian

This green tea from Anhui is one of China’s ten most famous teas. Its reputation comes from a very specific plucking, where only mature leaves are taken from the trees and the buds left in place. Heated in steel woks and flattened with bamboo brushes, the leaves take on a bluish tint that really highlights this great style.

Gunpowder Organic

This popular tea has a simple fruity green tea flavor. Used traditionally in Moroccan mint tea.
