Gyokuro Tamahomare

Three weeks before hand harvesting, shade structures which filter out up to 90% of sunlight are placed over the tea to develop what is commonly called in Japan "the taste of the shadows. The result is a tea weak in tannins, highly complex and aromatic.

Hojicha Isagawa Organic

A well balanced blend of leaves and stems roasted to its characteristic ochre colour.

Hualien 1980

Here is one of those little aged jewels from the Hualien region on the east coast of Taiwan.

Huiming Organic

This tea from Zhejiang is produced by the master hand of Mr. He, a dynamic and forward-thinking producer. The curly leaves accompanied by generous buds release in infusion a tasty and oily liquor. Bright and lively, it deploys a powerful fragrance of spring flowers. Its fruity (peach) and grassy nuances support its long nebulous finish. A fine and balanced tea.

Kabusecha Takamado

Grown and processed in the region of Uji in Japan, this "shade-tea" is of great finesse. Shade structures which block up to 70% of the light are placed over the tea plants two weeks before harvest in order to soften the leaves and increase the chlorophyll concentration.

Kamairicha Organic

From an organic culture on Kyushu Island, this tea is produced by pan-fried method (kamairi), instead of the conventional Japanese method of steaming. This style of transformation gives a particular balance between bitterness and sweetness, exempt from the typical astringency found in Sencha style teas.

Kukicha Organic

Enjoyable Japanese green tea made with a mixture of twigs and leaves of Sencha.

Laos Pu Er Sheng 2018 Phong Sali

Without venturing far into Laos we find farmers producing tea using the ancestral methods of Yunnan. In Phong Sali, producers work their teas with great care, rivaling (and even occasionally surpassing) the quality those of their famous neighbors… often at much lower prices.

Liu Bao Shi Shan Gu Shu 2016 (théiers de 100 ans)

This beautiful addition to our list of aged teas will please all lovers of rustic and traditional teas. Its large autumn leaves, picked a year after budding, come from ancient trees perched on the slopes of Shi Shan Mountain.
