Vietnam Yen Bai

This Yin Zhen (silver needle) style white tea comes from the Yen Bai province in Vietnam. The farmers in this region work meticulously to harvest the buds of the tea bushes, which are only sun-dried in the traditional way.
The fluffy quality of the long stems enhances the richness and texture of the tea. The smooth liquor is supported by a slightly sharper flavour contrast, generous with notes of straw and ripe fruit (peach) making it sweet, smooth and refreshing.
A delicate tea and a pleasure to discover.

Here is an aged white tea pressed into a cake from the Fujian province in eastern China. The enthusiasm for this product since the early 2000s has gradually given rise to an expertise among tea craftsmen who wish to distinguish themselves. Mr. Wang's skilful processing of buds and leaves caught our attention.
