Jasmin Desharnais

Jasmin Desharnais

Despite having grown up in Victoriaville, he still believes he has Andalusian or Inca roots, because of his passion for flamenco and for Latin American culture. After studying psychology and inter-ethnic relations, as well as multiple trips around the world, a small poster seen in the corridors of UQAM lead him to meet Hugo. From the opening day of the tea salon in 1998, we can find Jasmin at Camellia Sinensis ... and it will be the beginning of a long adventure.

At first a part-time waiter during his studies, tea flowed his veins from late in the morning (as the alarm clock only rang at noon) until late in the evening. He joined forces with Hugo and François in 2000 and developed through his research the first structure of the tea school, using the couch of the tea salon. He took his first steps in entrepreneurship by organizing the opening of the first shop, adjacent to the tea salon in 2001. So motivated to go to China in 2003, despite SARS, he will makes the first purchases of imported teas in the tea gardens by miming to make himself understood by the Chinese. In 2004, in search of new challenges and independence, he moved to Quebec City to open the St-Roch branch.

He is now responsible for operations and human resources for the company. Jasmin loves efficiency and work well done, along with his interest in human and customer service. As skilled with a gaiwan, a hammer or in the kitchen, it can be said that he is multi-tasking, self-taught and passionate, besides being very comfortable as much with the yin as the yang! But, on an ice rink, the yang quickly wins.
